Ullal, Feb 5: Police raided an illegal gas refilling station at Ullal and seized 24 cylinders along with various equipment used for filling.
The items confiscated has been handed over to Food and Civil supplies Department. However, the one involved in the same has escaped the scene.
The accused is Nawaz, residence of Kotepura Kodi. He had built a small shed in the courtyard of his house and was carrying on the refilling business.
In a hut made out of mats, he had stored cylinders from where he used to fill cylinders of the vehicles.
As many as 9 commercial cylinders, 10 domestic, 5 small cylinders, 2 motor s and one scale have been seized by the police.
