Kanhangad, Jul 11: The police here have arrested seven youths, including two juveniles, for attacking a group of college students who were waiting at a bus shelter at Padannakd locality recently.

In the attack that followed, at least eight students of the college suffered minor injuries forcing the police to register case. Meanwhile, Mr. Sunil Kumar said he had recently convened meetings with the school authorities, along with students of all Class X and Plus Two, falling under the Hosdurg police station limits and impressed upon them the need to refrain from being involved in unwarranted violences or resort to strike calls that stalled studies.
