Bengaluru, Jun 8: The father of a 14-year-old girl was arrested under the provisions of the POCSO Act on Wednesday for allegedly sexually assaulting her over the past one year.
Three others, who allegedly assaulted her as part of “rituals”, were also arrested. The family lives on the city's outskirts.
When the girl told her mother, she consulted a friend in Bengaluru, who asked her to bring the victim here to undergo some “rituals” to see if she was telling the truth.
While the “rituals” were under way, passers-by noticed the girl being assaulted by two women and alerted the police
