Hackers leave Nagaraj Shetty poorer by Rs 4 lakh

Mangalore, January 8: The bank accounts of Ganesh Shipping Agency, owned by Coastal Development Authority Chairman B Nagaraja Shetty have been reportedly hacked through internet.



In a complaint lodged with Bunder police station, Mr Shetty has claimed that hackers have looted Rs 4 lakh from his four accounts held with Bunts Hostel, Urwa, Karwar and Bangalore branches of Axis Bank.



It is said that the money from the Urva, Karvara and Bangalore branch accounts, initially had been transferred to the main account of Bunts Hostel branch using internet account password, before transferring to the account of one Anil Gill Singh held with IndusInd Bank, Moradabad in UP.


Police, who are of the suspicion that this account too might be fake one, have launched an investigation.
