Dubai, January 27: A worker has been sentenced to two years in prison for ripping off a housemaid's clothes and attempting to rape her in the kitchen of her sponsor's house.
The Dubai Court of First Instance convicted the 22-year-old Indian worker, H.K., of attempted rape.
Prosecution records said the suspect failed to rape the housemaid after he got scared and ran away when the kitchen’s intercom rang.
Prosecutors said H.K. attempted to rape the 27-year-old Indonesian housemaid in the kitchen of her sponsor’s house in Al Qusais.
