Mangalore, February 4: Dakshina Kannada District Police, on Friday arrested two persons who have been accused of murdering a man at Polali under Bantwal rural police limits on Wednesday.
The arrested have been identified as Shekar and Neelayya. Both are residents of Polali.
According to police sources Pravin Milanda, a resident of Polali was found murdered in a coconut grove about three kilo meters from his residence on Wednesday morning.
The accused killed him hitting him with heavy wooden log on head leading to his death, said sources.
Police said the motive behind the murder seems to be revenge, wherein the two accused were victims of the deceased two years ago when they were stabbed by Praveen during a Jathra (Fair fest) in Polali in 2009.
Bantwal CPI is investigating the case.
