
Mangalore, Nov 12: A eleven member delegation from Japan has visited Mangalore with the aim of exploring trade potential in the area along with studying technical exchange, said Kanara chamber for Commerce and Industry President Muhammad Ameen.
Youth leaders from four parties of Japan visited on a study tour. Based on the report of the team, there are possibilities of avenues of trade opening up between Japan and Mangalore.
Fisheries, Medicine and tourism were the areas that the team showed specific interest, added Mr Ameen stating that the team was impressed by Unity hospital and Father Muller's Medical College.
Delegation member Kutsohito Takaiwa said that a decade ago the USA was being seen as a super power, but today its power has declined drastically.
“Japan wants to join hands with developing nations of the world and India is certainly on top of the chart,” he said
