Mangalore, Apr 21: Hundreds of protestors under the banner of Sunni Students' Federation gathered in front of Deputy Commissioner's office on Monday to register their protest against the coldblooded murder of young man from Jokatte by the sleuths of Anti Naxal Force on Saturday.
Addressing the protestors, Sunni leader N K M Shafi Sa'adi said that the act of ANF personnel, who gunned down a young innocent youth, exhibits the brutality of the heavily armed forces. “From advocate Naushad Kashmiji murder, illegal confinement of Abdunnaser Ma'adani to the incident of Kabeer murder, attacks on minorities is growing,” he said adding that ANF they did not have the right to shoot Kabeer even if he is indulged in illegal transportation of cattle.
SSF Karnataka general secretary K M Aboobakar Siddeeq Montugoli, who inaugurated the protest meet the family members of the victim Kabeer have been deprived of justice. “This is an insult to the democracy”, he said.
“It is unfortunate that the bullets of police's guns always by mistake' penetrate the body of Muslims only. A sense of insecurity has prevailed among minorities of the country due to this harsh reality,” Mr Montugoli lamented.
Principal secretary of SSF South India Abdul Hameed Bajpe said the government is acting as if it has accomplished its responsibility by just announcing a meager amount of Rs 5 lakhs compensation for the victim's family members.
