Mangalore, Oct 30: A car went up in flames near the parking lot outside the Mangalore International Airport on Thursday morning. No one was hurt fortunately.
According to source, the Tata India car, belonging to a private company, had come to the airport to pick up a passenger.
Raza Sheikh, the driver of the ill-fated car bearing registration number KA 03 ME 6237 was finding a suitable place to park his car when the tragedy took place.
Thankfully the driver noticed smoke from underneath the bonnet. Sensing danger, he immediately alighted from the vehicle instead of entering parking lot. Within a few seconds the car was engulfed in flames and completely destroyed.
The fire personnel from the airport immediately rushed to the spot and managed douse the flame.
