Bengaluru, Jun 28: The JD(S) disciplinary action committee issued show cause notices to eight rebel MLAs for anti-party activities. The committee has asked the MLAs to appear before it in one month and furnish their explanation, failing which the party will be forced to initiate disciplinary action under the party constitution and rules, states the three-page notice.
The committee was set up by the party after the eight MLAs voted against the party candidate in the Rajya Sabha election on June 11. The party had suspended the MLAs on June 12 and had also issued show cause notices, to which the legislators are yet to respond.
