Managluru, Mar 14: Muhammad Saleem aka Saleem Ustad, aged about 50, is a madrasa teacher in Chokkabettu near Surathkal in Mangaluru taluk. He recently got chest pain and was diagnosed of heart blockage that needed a major surgery. He was admitted to A.J. Hospital in Mangaluru on Feb. 24, 2017.
A surgery was conducted by cardiologist Dr. Praveen Shetty in AJ Hospital and it was successful. It cost more than Rs 2.5. lakhs despite of some discounts made by the Hospital due to his poor economic condition.
Saleem Ustad’s meagre salary is just enough for his & family’s livelihood. He is solely depending on his monthly perks for his income that is not at all enough for his medical treatment and hospital charges. He is a father of six children-three daughters & three boys.
His family depends on his earnings. Even after the discharge from hospital, he needs a good rest to make him fit for normalcy. So, he is now facing severe financial difficulties.
