Qatar: Over 80 people donate blood in KMCA’s camp

Doha: Karnataka Muslim Cultural Association (KMCA) an affiliate of Indian Cultural Center (ICC) association under the aegis of Embassy of India hosted its Annual Blood Donation camp on 4h March 2016 at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) blood donors unit.

The response by the donors and the well-wishers unexpectedly turned to be in huge numbers which started from 8 mornings and ended up at 1.30PM . Around 250 people joined the noble cause which was a unique show organized by KMCA Qatar. As many as 81 members donated the blood after the routine checkups.

Dr. Imran Ibrahim, hailing from Mangalore, Consultant Pediatric ICU at Hamad Medical corporation addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance and benefits of donating the blood. President of the forum Mr. Niyaz Ahmed welcomed the gathering and thanked all the donors and guests who made this noble event a grand success.

Mr. Saquib Raza Khan Vice President of the forum campered the event.

Mr. Arvind Patil, President ICBF, Mr. Divakar Poojaray, Secretary ICC, Mr. M. Ravi Shetty, President Tulu Koota Qatar, Mr. Madhu, President of Karnataka Sangha Qatar, Mr. Shuheb, President of SKMWA, Mr. Prakash Noronha, Vice President, MCC, Mr. Navaneeth Shetty, President Bunts Qatar, Mr. Adbulla Mono, President, Hidaya Center – Qatar, Mrs. Milan Arun and lot many prominent members from Indian Expatriate community joined for this blood donation drive.

The event was coordinated by Head of KMCA Special Needs Mr. M. Iqbal Manna and Mr. Muneer Sheikh.

Ajman: Ashok Bai Baria (44), a resident of Valsad - Ahmedabad, succumbed to a heart attack in Ajman. 

The incident occurred on March 13 morning at his residence, following which he experienced severe physical distress leading to the fatal cardiac arrest. 

Fishing has been a longstanding activity in Ajman- UAE, with Baria being actively involved in the profession for many years. 

Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services in the UAE, has informed that all necessary arrangements are underway to repatriate the deceased's body to his hometown.
