New Delhi, October 16: Australian Prime Minister Julian Gillard has announced that Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar will be conferred with the membership of the Order of Australia.
The Order of Australia is an order of chivalry to recognise Australian citizens and other persons for achievement or for meritorious service.
Sachin will be awarded an (AM), which is one of the six grades in the Order of Australia.
The legendary batsman, who is currently playing in the Champions League T20 for Mumbai Indians in South Africa, was nominated as the Member of Rajya Sabha earlier this year.
