Mangalore, July 18: The boys and girls team of Morning Star Higher Primary School, Bajpe have emerged as the champions of 16th Independence Independence Cup football tournament in Higher Primary Boys and Higher Primary Girls category respectively.
In the High School Girls’ category the team of St. Joseph High School, Bajpe, lifted the Cup. St. Joseph girls thrashed NITK-A 2-0, with Simran D’Souza scoring both the goals.
The month-long tournament is organised by Dakshina Kannada Football Association and has attracted more than 150 teams. The matches are being played in seven separate categories.
