‘Rs 496 lakh released for development of rural roads’

Mangalore, July 19: The State government has released a sum of Rs 496.91 lakh towards the development of rural roads in Dakshina Kannada, said Zilla Panchayat CEO Dr K N Vijayaprakash.

 

He said that the chief minister had released Rs 5 crore as special grant to the five taluks.

 

The funds can be utilised for providing infrastructure facilities, maintaining anganwadi centres and constructing foot bridges. Deputy Commissioner had released Rs 98.91 lakh to mitigate drinking water woes during summer.
