Mandya, July 19: In a heartrending incident, a six-year-old girl died instantaneously when the veil she was wearing was caught in the wheels of the moped she was travelling near Gopalapura in the taluk on Wednesday.
The victim has been identified as Tejaswini, daughter of Prasanna of Bilidegula village who was riding the moped. The veil tightened around her neck and the head was cut off from the body due to the impact. The veil around the neck of Tejaswini was hanging loose got stuck in the wheels causing the mishap.
Mandya rural police have registered a case.
