poojaMangalore, July 27: As per the direction of the Muzrai Department, poojas for rain were held in all temples in the district falling under the purview of the Department on Friday.

Poojas were held in prominent temples of the district including Mangaladevi Temple and Kateel Durgaparameshwari Temple even before the official order of the government reached.

“Although the government order reached Durga Kateeleshwari Temple at 11 am, special poojas for rain had already been conducted at the Temple”, Dr. Harish Kumar, Commissioner, MCC, and administrator of the Temple, said.

In Subhramanya however, no special poojas for rain took place today. The related poojas had been conducted on the occasion of Nagara Panchami itself, Temple sources said.

Kota Srinivas Poojary, Muzrai Minister, had ordered that special poojas for rain be held in temples under the Muzrai Department across the state on July 27 and August 2, soon after he took charge of the post.

no need for this poojas, already the weather forecast says we will have enough Rainfalls in the next few day. So no chance for them to spend 18 crores and say we got rain because of the pooja and they can spend every year more and more to fill their pockets by the name of this pooja.

If headscarf is not allowed for muslims without any expense why spend crores of public money for your relegious interst. If you respect your relegion spend money from your pockets as we Muslims do .....

Ask Allah for protection. Allah says in holy Quran "It is Allah Who sends the Winds, and they raise the Clouds: then does He spread them in the sky as He wills, and break them into fragments, until you see rain-drops issue from the midst thereof: then when He has made them reach such of his servants as He wills behold, they do rejoice!"

Wearing headscarf is banned in colleges coz it is religious and religious beliefs cannot be bought under colleges and schools, what abt rain poojas being conducted at temples by spending crores of rupees which could have been utilized for some other cause. This clearly shows that govt wants to saffronize the state.
