ABVP demands govt. to re-introduce old system of exam fee collection

Mangalore, September 11: Members of Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged a protest in front of Deputy Commissioner’s office in Mangalore on Tuesday, demanding withdrawal of the state government’s order concerning full payment of examination fees.

The protestors alleged that the state government’s recent order which directs students to pay the complete amount of fees in spite of students possessing income certificates, is an unfair move on its part.

The government must take back its order and resort to the older system of collection of examination fees, they demanded.

Prior to the protest, a rally was held from University College to Deputy Commissioner’s office. Yatish Kumar P, City Secretary, ABVP, was present.

This Protest is only for the name sake. Not with a concern about poor students. ABVP just want to tell general public "they are against State Government". State itself directed them to hold such a demonstration to divert the attention of people from recent “Case Withdrawal”.
