Mangalore, September 11: The eagerly anticipated Tulu comedy movie ‘Sompa’ is all set to hit silver screens in Dakshina Kannada on September 14.
The movie will be released in Mangalore, Moodbidri and Puttur this Friday, said Namratha Hegde, actress and co-producer of the movie.
The story revolves around the lives of three men who are faced with few problems in their lives leading up to an entertaining climax. The movie has elements of comedy, romance and action and contains four songs, including one in Hindi. Music has been composed by Iqbal Darbar, while lyrics have been provided by Vijay Kumar Kodialbail, Shashiraj Kavoor, Thamma Laxmanna and Rajan Lalpuri, said Ajatha Shatru, lead actor of Sompa.
The movie, whose title was changed from ‘Rampa’ to Sompa due to objection by the family of Ramappa Poojary, is being produced by Geetha Hegde and Namratha Hegde under the banner of Namratha Hegde Films.
The music CD was released on September 7.
