India bowls first in 2-day tour match in Adelaide

Adelaide/Australia, Dec 3: " India bowled first Thursday in its two-day game against a Cricket Australia XI at Adelaide's Glenelg Oval to prepare for the start of Tuesday's first test against Australia.

There was no toss, with the India side granted its wish of sending the CA XI in under overcast skies.

It will allow Virat Kohli, Murali Vijay and Rohit Sharma " all returning from New South Wales state after attending Phillip Hughes' funeral " to bat later in the match.

The two sides lined up for a minute's silence before play, while both sides are wearing black armbands to honor Hughes.

Lineups: Ishant Sharma (captain), Murali Vijay, Shikhar Dhawan, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Wriddhiman Saha, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami, Karn Sharma, Varun Aaron.

Chairman's XI: Ashton Turner (captain), Ryan Carters, Jake Doran, Sebastian Gotch, Evan Gulbis, Josh Lalor, Alexander Keath, David Moody, Jonte Pattison, Sam Rainbird, Matthew Short, Jordan Silk.
