Jeddah, Jun 19: Fifteen Saudi companies have confirmed their participation in the two job fairs being organized by the Indian consulate here. These companies have 4,000 vacancies to offer at the job fairs on June 20 and 27, a press release issued here said.
The job fairs are part of the consulate efforts to further help Indian nationals in the Kingdom who are covered under the amnesty announced by the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah.
The fairs aim to provide job opportunities to hundreds of skilled/semi-skilled and unskilled dedicated and hardworking Indian nationals who are available to work in the companies falling under the Nitaqat system's Green category.
Indian nationals declared “huroob” (absconders) by their sponsors or whose sponsors fall under the 'Red' category or who have not been able to renew their iqamas (residency permits) with their existing sponsors can avail of the opportunity to transfer their sponsorship and continue to work in the Kingdom.
The companies are offering jobs in various positions ranging from engineers to laborers, drivers and technicians.
Details of jobs on offer are also available on the Indian Consulate General's website www.cgijeddah.com under the heading “Job Fair”.
The consulate has already allocated space within its premises to companies that have set up a makeshift office there since the beginning of the amnesty. A huge turnout of Indian nationals is expected on the two days the job fair will be held.
