Jubail: Seeking justice for the eight-year-old girl, who was gang-raped and murdered in a temple in Jammu and Kashmir, and the Unnao rape victim, Indian National Congress’ NRI Wing - Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia organized condemnation meet at Gulf Asian Hospital Jubail on Sunday 15th April, 2018.
Meet was commenced by observing one minute silence for the departed soul. Opening the meeting INC NRI Eastern Prov. Honorary President Farook Karnire said "We have gathered here to tell everyone that Asifa has died but not our conscience. We will speak for her until she gets justice.”
INC -NRI Eastern Province Media advisor Mr Farook Portfolio expressed deep worry and concern at the way forces of hate and division are striving to polarize in the country. He asked everyone to be united irrespective of caste, creed and religion and urged speedy trial so that the justice prevails.
Mr. Shameem Mudigere said voicing opinions would help to spread their message. "We wish to send a strong message that women, girls and children should feel safe and secure. Our voices need to be heard especially when we need timely justice.
Gen. Secretary Rafeek KH in his presidential address said "This forum would serve as a platform to raise voice for the justice of Asifa and also push for the capital punishment to the culprits through appropriate channel.
