Bengaluru, Dec 1: Karnataka is building conducive atmosphere to emerge as Startups Capital in the country, Minister for Industry K J George said here on Saturday.
"Karnataka is always open for change of policy in tune with transformation of the emerging technologies", he added.
Speaking at an interaction meeting on the day three of ongoing 'Karnataka Tech Summit', he said that “We are taking all necessary steps to stay ahead by building a conducive atmosphere for the development of the startup industries".
Maintaining that India had missed the bus in aligning with the Industrial revolution in the past, he said that “Thanks to the visionary outlook of the late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, We are in the forefront of the IT and BIO industries in the world”.
While maintaining that Bengaluru would serve as the IT and BT hub of the country, George said that “We are also in the process of building required infrastructure and provide related logistic support for the industries to set up their facilities in Tier-II and Tier-III cities across the State.
