New Delhi, Feb 21: A woman from Kenya has accused four men of gang-raping her in a moving car in south Delhi’s Saket in the early hours of Friday. The accused have been arrested, the police said.
A case of rape under Indian Penal Code has been filed, but the police are also probing into charges made by the accused. On interrogation, the four men claimed that the woman was a call girl.
“While the woman said that she was gang-raped, the accused in their counter claims stated that the victim filed the complaint following a dispute over money,” the officer added.
On Friday, the police also sought help from two translators and the woman’s statement was recorded at Mayur Vihar police station.
She told the police that she knew three accused and was returning home after a party in Saket. “She boarded a car from near PVR Anupam in Saket,” the officer said.
Late on Thursday, the woman claimed that they went to a discotheque after which the accused offered to drop her home. “It is said that the accused purchased bottles of liquor and shared it with her in their car. The woman was then raped in the car,” the officer added.
