Mangalore, Feb 8: It was more than light, music and action. There were over 200 folk artists f, classical elements and one concept - 'casteism'.
These were all part of the sound and light show with the theme 'Manushyajaati thaanonde vallam' pictured the fight against casteism was a successful crowd- pulliing event.
The show took the audience through a journey of human evolution with a depiction of the cause of the cateism and other social elements and the way human mind is poisoned.
Apart from education, the show was a treat to the eyes with a performance from artists in the specially arranged soundand light effects.
The show also had the mention of the champions of social justice in the state from Adi Kavi Pampa, to the Vachana composers - Basavanna, Akkamahadevi and Allam Prabhu, the saints from Dasa parampare, the sufis, the Mysore Maharajas, Kuvempu to Mahatma Gandhi and Ambedkar.
District-in charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai inaugurated the event by beating the drums in the presence of MLAs J R Lobo and B A Mohideen Bawa.
