Mandd Sobhann Gurkar Eric Ozario's biography to be released on Sunday

Mangalore, May 15: A biography of Eric Ozario, Gurkar of Mandd Sobhann and Konkani activist, titled Eric Ozario – The Indefatigable Crusader', will be released at Kalangann in the city on Sunday on the occasion of the former's 65th birthday.

The biography has been authored by Royston Fernandes from Mangalore, who had authored two other books titled – Shall We Save the Earth?' and Wake up Mangalore or Be Damned'.

Announcing this at a press conference here on Thursday, Mr Ozario said that the 318-page biography was a depiction and reflection of his life and also his struggle towards the cause of Konkani language. The book will be released by Ronald Colaco at 5.30 p.m. Dr Ravi Shanker Rao will review the book and Prof Sunney Tharappan will felicitate, in the presence of Louis J Pinto, president of Mandd Sobhann, he said.

The book, published by Notionpress.com, Chennai, is priced at Rs 499.

He said that the entire proceeds from the sales of the biography would be donated to Jagotik Konkani Songhotton (Global Konkani Organisation). The Konkani version of the biography, which will be authored by Rony Arun, will also be released soon, he said.

The book is also slated to be released at Tiatr Academy, Panjim on May 24.
