Mangalore, Jan 17: A middle-aged woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a lodge on K S Rao Road in Mangalore on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Alikutty Thomas, a resident of Kannur in Kerala.
It is said that the woman accompanied with a man were staying in the lodge since Tuesday. On Saturday morning, the room was found locked when an attendant went to ask whether they continue their stay. When the door was broke open, the staff found the woman lying dead on the bed.
Police suspect it as a case of murder.
A case has been registered at Bunder police and further investigations are on.
