Jubail, Feb 6: A non-resident Indian from Mangalore died of cardiac arrest in Jubail, the industrial hub of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Antony Barboza, hailing from Kulashekhar in Mangalore. He was working as the Jubail branch manager of Areed, heavy equipment company.

Sources said that 47-year-old Barboza suffered a massive cardiac arrest at his office in Jubail on Thursday morning. Though he was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, doctors pronounced him dead.

He was a well-known personality among Indian expatriate workers in Jubail. Using his influence and contacts, he had helped many Mangalorean businessmen.

He is survived by his wife and son, who had returned to Mangalore from Saudi Arabia during Christmas.

Several NRI organizations in Jubail have expressed condolence to the sad demise of Barboza.
