Mangaluru, Nov 1: City Crime Branch (CCB) on Friday arrested four students on the charges of peddling drugs in the city.
Police Commissioner Dr P S Harsha said that based on credible information the CCB sleuths and personnel from the Economic and Narcotic Offences station conducted the raid. The students were regular drug peddlers, their potential target being other students. "Narcotic drugs valued about Rs 2,50,000, three cellphones and a two-wheeler were seized from their possession,' he added.
The arrested students have been identified as Ananth Kuduva (21), Gopinath (24), Krishna Hegde (19), and Habil Ahammad (19), and have been booked under sections 8(c), 20(b), 21, 21(c) and 22 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act 1985.
