Bengaluru,Jul 28: JD(S) supremo HD Deve Gowda once again raised the issue of how his son, HD Kumaraswamy, was not at peace when he was the chief minister and had “cried at the party office for 15 minutes.”
“I have no issues with the JD(S)-Congress government losing power. My son was never peaceful as the CM and I know he had cried for 15 minutes sitting in JP Bhavan,” Gowda told party workers on Saturday.
The Gowda family becoming emotional at public events was a common feature when the coalition was in power. In July 2018, both Gowda and Kumaraswamy broke down on the dais, when the latter blamed the BJP of creating distrust and suspicion about the government’s programmes among the people.
Kumaraswamy compared himself to mythological ‘Vishakanta’ for swallowing all pains inflicted by the coalition government to offer ‘amrutha’. “Everyone around me are elated when I was made the CM, but I’m not happy. People surround me wherever I go but they did not remember me while casting votes. Even after undergoing surgery for the second time, I’ve toiled day and night ignoring my health,” he said and broke down.
