Bengaluru, Sept 6: Karnataka state BJP unit on Sunday said that sandalwood actress Ragini Dwivedi, who was arrested in the drag mafia case, is not a member of the party.
In a statement issued here to the media, the party said that she had participated in the election campaign on her own and the party will not comment on her personnel issues.
After Ragini was arrested by the CCB police on drug mafia case, false allegations were made against the party.
The BJP state unit claimed that there is no link between her and party and the party had not assigned her any election work.
Ragini was the BJP’s star campaigner within the Karnataka Meeting by-elections. Within the 2019 by-elections, the actress was energetic within the house-to-house marketing campaign in KR Pete constituency.
Earlier than the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, there have been rumors that Ragini would formally be a part of the BJP. The actress additionally participated in a number of street reveals throughout the by-elections. Yuva Morcha chief Karthik Raj was earlier arrested from Shivajinagar in a drug case.
