Mangaluru, Nov 16: After heavy rains in the capital city on November 15, the weather forecast predicted by the meteorological department states that many districts of the state are going to receive heavy rains from November 16 to 18.
The heavy rains are due to the surface storm that has occurred in the Bay of Bengal.
Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Kodagu, Bengaluru, Bengaluru rural, Kolar, Chikkaballapur, Tumakuru, Ramanagara, Mandya, Mysuru and Chamarajanagar districts are likely to receive heavy rains.
Regions of Malnad will also have the effect of surface storm in Bay of Bengal. The region will also receive rain.
Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru and Uttara Kannada districts will also receive intermittent rains. Rains will continue for the next two days under the BBMP limits.
In the capital city the weather has been cloudy since the morning of Monday, November 16. Northwest monsoon is active in the state now and that is why rains will be more as per the information provided by the meteorological department.
Chances of heavy rains on November 18 are more in Tamil Nadu. This will cause incessant rains in the districts of Kolar, Chikkaballapur, Bengaluru, Ramanagara, Mandya and Chamarajanagar.
Rain accompanied by thunder will shower in Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala till November 18. The intensity of rain will be more on that day and it will gradually reduce as per the weather department.
