Mangaluru, Nov 2: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader Prabhakar Bhat Kalladka has stirred a fresh controversy by comparing coastal Karnataka’s historic town of Ullal with Pakistan.
Addressing a gathering at a programme organised by a Hindutva outfit at Kinya on the outskirts of the city today, Mr Kalladka expressed concern over rise in Muslim population and decrease of Hindu population in the region.
“Countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh came into existence only because of increase in Muslim population. Now we can find Pakistans here and there. Ullal town has already become a Pakistan,” he claimed.
Encouraging Hindu parents to have more children, he said that when there is only one child in the house without any sister or brother it becomes selfish.
“When there are more children in the family, there is more happiness and joy. Now the population of Hindus is reducing. This is evident in this Kinya too,” he said.
“Who will protect our temples and our culture in such scenario?” the RSS leader questioned and called upon the Hindus to wake up.
