Young rider killed after collision between motorbike and jeep in Puttur

Mangaluru, Nov 28: A youth lost his life following a head on collision between a motorbike and a jeep in Puttur town of Dakshina Kannada last night.

The deceased has been identified as Muhammad Hashim (20), son of Hamza Haji, a fish merchant and resident of Parladka.

Hashim was thrown onto the road following the collision between two vehicles at Tenkila Bypass in Puttur town.

A critically injured Hashim was rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru where he breathed his last.

Puttur traffic police have registered a case in this regard.

Expressing condolence on the demise of Hamza Haji’s son, fresh fish merchants association has observed a fish sale bandh in Puttur today.
