Mangalore, February 10: MLA and deputy speaker of Karnataka Assembly N Yogish Bhat on Thursday released the audio CD of Kannada and Konkani devotional songs sung by noted Hindustani singer Vibha Srinivas.
The CD, produced by SHUU Creations, has been titled 'Jo Jo Venkatesha' and contains eight devotional songs compiled by Purandaradasa, Raghaendra Nayak, Sadananda Nayak and Ashwin Harish Nayak.
Renowned maestro Ustad Rafik Khan has assisted with sitar, while Ashwin Harish Nayak has worked on tabla and Siddartha Malya on harmonium.
Releasing the CD in the presence of the singer at a function held at Press Club Mangalore, Mr Bhat wished Vibha every success in her future endeavours.
Chairman of the Karavali Educational Institutions Ganesh Rao, General Manager of Corporation Bank BR Bhat, president of working journalists union Harsha and Vibha Nayak's husband and journalist Srinivasa Nayak were present at the function. Vibha Nayak sang a couple of devotional songs prior to the function.
