Mangalore, February 17: Deputy Commissioner Subodh Yadav has sacked Pradeep Kumar, a second division assistant (SDA) for forgery, and misuse funds of Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) as well as DCs office.
Pradeep was accused of misappropriating Rs 73.69-lakh while serving as second division assistant at KIADB office and for encashing cheque for Rs 3 lakh in the name of assistant director, Department of Kannada and Culture while at DCs office.
It was said that while working at KIADB, he had stolen the cheque leaf of land acquisition officer and forged his signature, created false records and deposited a sum of Rs 73,69,793 by opening an account in Corporation Bank in a pseudo name of Krishnadas Permude.
While he was working at Deputy Commissioner's office, he had forged the signature of assistant director, department of Kannada and hand withdrawn Rs 3,00,000 from Beggars Relief Fund, a release for the office of Deputy Commissioner stated.
