Mangalore, February 20: The concept of real success in Islam is surrendering to Almighty Allah. To attain success, it is obligatory for an individual to surrender himself to the Almighty in all means rather than to his own wishes, said Abdullah Javed, State President, Jamat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), Karnataka-Goa.
He was speaking after inaugurating the valedictory conference of the month-long campaign “Hayya-alal-Falah” (Come towards Success) organised by the Youth Wing of JIH on Sunday at City Ground in Deralakatte near here.
He said one should realise the objective of life. Fear of God leads to progress along with evolution of civilisation and society. An individual should have sense of responsibility towards parents, society, and fellow beings, he said.
Yusuf Umari, Member of State Advisory Committee, JIH Kerala, said the call for success “Hayya-alal-Falah” is not only for Muslim community, but for the whole mankind. The youth should adopt the model of lives and messages of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and companions.
He lamented that it is not possible to call ourselves the best community as most members of the community are indulging in un-Islamic practices.
Since its inception, Jamat-e-Islami Hind has been working towards the betterment of the society. It has played a very crucial role in promoting service oriented activities as 'Ibada' (worship), he said.
