Mangalore, February 26: As many as five children from Mangalore have secured the golden opportunity of watching the India-England World Cup match on Sunday at Bangalore's Chinnaswamy Stadium after being selected through a lucky draw scheme organized by home appliances giant LG.
The five youngsters will also get a unique chance of participating in the toss, besides watching the match live at the 45,000-capacity stadium along with one of their senior family members.
The lucky winners of the scheme are: 1. Mohammed Bilal, son of Mohammed Bashir from Pandeshwar, Alistain Roch, son of Arthur Roach, Akshay, son of Dayananda Pai, Nikil Joshi, son of Shivakumar Joshi and Nishanth Poojary, son of Balakrishna Poojary.
Mohammed Bilal, who is a student at St Rita Primary School, Jeppu, is extremely delighted at the prospect of watching his beloved cricketers up-close.
“I am thrilled. I am looking forward to seeing the international players from close quarters,” said an elated Bilal.
The winners will be flying to Bangalore along with one of their family members for the marquee event, which has evoked excitement across the country.
