The Parishat also demanded to make provision for providing details of census of each person and also to allow filing of objections with regard to the inaccurate data accumulation.
The delegation led by President of Parishat Abdul Majeed Suralpady, BA Muhammad Haneef, Working President, Muhammad Kunjathbail, General Secretary submitted the memo to Additional Deputy Commissioner S Prabhakar Sharma.
In the memorandum, the Parishath informed that the persons involved in census work are not taking any details of Indian citizens who work abroad or if they have gone for short period for any reason.
Though the Muslims and Christians are Indian citizens and employed in foreign countries, census enumerators did not include their names and details. “This has caused injustice to the minority communities and it would affect the citizenship, identity matter, voting rights and other facilities,” the Parishat noted.
Muhammad Kunjathbail, General Secretary, CM Musthafa, Nazeer Bajal and FA Khader were present.
