Mangalore, March 7: There is a need to foster love, peace and harmony among all communities of the society, said Bantwal MLA B Ramanath Rai.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the public meet organised in the premises of Muhyuddeen Masjid in Mithabail on Sunday, as part of the triennial Urus celebrations of Hazrat Shaikh Waliyullahi.
Rai said along with following our own religion, we also should cultivate respect towards other religions. “We should not quarrel with each other in the pretext of religion, language, caste and community” he added.
Calling upon the youth to become the heralds of harmony, he said it is the responsibility of the young generation to preserve communal harmony in the society and foil the bid of hate mongers to sow the seed of conflict between communities.
Puttur Kallega Mudarris U K Abdul Azeez Darimi exhorted the gathering to follow the footsteps of great peoples.
Mithabail Mudarris Shaikhuna Haji K P Abdul Jabbar Musliyar performed the Du'a. A galaxy of Sunni religious leaders was present on the occasion.
