Puttur, March 12: RSS has never favoured corruption and considering corruption as a serious issue, Akhil Bharateeya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) will pass a resolution in the RSS Baitak to bring awareness among the people against corruption, informed Akhila Bharat Prachara Paramukh of RSS Dr Manmohan Vaidya.
Addressing media persons at the annual meeting of ABPS which is being held at Vivekanada Engineering College here from March 11 to 13, he said the RSS has made serious note of rise in corruption, thus the main discussion in the Baitak will be centred around the formulation of a resolution that provides sustainable solution to the corruption problem.
When he was asked about the RSS stand on some of the BJP leaders of the State who have been alleged of involving in corruption he said, “corruption is not limited to an individual, but it is an issue of social concern. We don't intend to target a person, but our intention is to tackle corruption from three different angles namely individualistic, societal and election manifestos approaches,” he said.Dr Vaidya also informed that in addition to the resolution against corruption, yet another resolution will be passed to bring awareness in the society to tackle the threat posed on the internal security of our nation by the neighbouring country China. “China's policies are affecting India, therefore we urge the Indian government to take measures to control the situation,” he stressed.
Oppose terrorism
When asked the response of RSS towards the chargesheet filed against RSS leader Indresh Kumar on the suspicion of his involvement in Mecca Masjid blast, Vaidya said, “let the legal processes take its own course. The organisation has never supported terror activities and will always abide by the principles by opposing those who involve in violence. The RSS will not interfere in the legal process in Indresh Kumar's case and will extend support for the investigation.”
39,908 shakhas
Briefing the RSS activities in the nation, Prachara Paramukh Dr Vaidya informed that 39,908 shakhas are active in 27,078 places across India.
Various activities like Maa Narmada Samajik Kumbh, world Sanskrit book fair were organised by the RSS in the last few months.
Sarasangh Chalak Mohan Bhagavatar inaugurated the three-day meet earlier on the day.
