Mumbai/ Malpe, March 20: A Malpe based entrepreneur in Mumbai was shot dead when unidentified persons fired at him in suburban Goregaon on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Angara Pujari, owner of a cake shop.
According to police, the shooter shot at Angara Pujari from a close range at his Monginis cake shop in the suburb.
The shooter was overpowered by a passersby before he could escape from the spot and handed over to police while Pujari was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared 'brought dead'.
Almost 55 years ago Angara moved to Mumbai to earn his living. He was working in a hotel and later got into hospitality business. He had also owned a few hotels in Mumbai.
Police have suspected the hands of underworld don Ravi Poojary in the murder. Angara had also filed a complaint in Goregaon police station saying that he had been receiving several threat calls demanding 'haftha'.
He is survived by his wife, three sons and a daughter.
