Nitte, March 22: Management practice is a base line for corporate survival and success, opined Dr MS Moodithaya, Director, Centre for Global Initiatives, Nitte University.
He was delivering an expert lecture on the theme 'Leadership and Enterpreneurship: A Corporate Framework Analysis', after inaugurating a two-day management student exchange programme organized by the Justice KS Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte.
“Management involves selective choices and decisions. To groom the future managers is not an easy task. Critical skills need to be inculcated for action oriented performance. So management Institutes should act. They need to have the skills to face the corporate challenges” he said.
Citing examples from corporate framework, Dr Moodithaya said “Future managers should be capable enough to convert every upset into a set up”.
MBA Department of the PMC Tech Institute, Hosur and Institute of Engineering and Management, Adien, Bangalore participated in the meet.
Dr A Ravi, HOD of MBA PMC Technology, Hosur, briefed the importance of management student exchange programme.
Dr Gajendra Naidu, HOD MBA, Adien Institute also spoke on the occasion.
Presiding over the function Dr NK Thingalaya, Chairman of the Academic Council of JKSHIM, Nitte, said self exchange programme will provide a good exposure for management students. It will build confidence among them, he added.
Institute Director Prof KR Karnik welcomed the gathering. Dr Paul G Aquinas proposed the vote of thanks. Prof Sudhir M co-ordinated the student exchange programme.
