Mangalore, March 30: The city of Mangalore erupted with screams of ecstasy after witnessing Team India's 29-run victory over arch-rivals Pakistan in the second semi-final of ICC World Cup Cricket 2011 at Mohali.
Enthusiastic fans came out on the streets in the middle of the night, burst crackers with a hope that Team India would lift the trophy. Passionate fans also took out victory marches in many parts of the city, shouting slogans glorifying Dhoni, Sachin and others and beating drums.
“India have successfully maintained its unbeaten record against the arch rivals in 36 years of World Cup history. We are sure that and nobody can stop Team India from becoming the world champion this time," said Thafazzul Hussain, an Indian cricket fan.
