Student arrested at Mangalore Airport for carrying bullet in wallet

Mangalore, April 4: The security personnel of Mangalore Airport arrested a Doha bound student on Sunday for carrying a bullet in his wallet. The arrested is Muhammad Sadiq (26), a resident of Thalangere in Kasaragod.


Sadiq, student of MBA in Qatar had arrived Mangalore Airport on Sunday morning to travel Doha by Air India Express. During the frisking, security personnel headed by CSF Inspector Laxman , found the bullet in his purse at around 8.25 am.



It is said that Sadiq has been living in Qatar since 20 years with his parents.



It is learnt that during interrogation, Sadiq revealed that the public who pay 75 rials at Police Training Centre in Qatar will be getting 25 rounds of bullets and he had kept one of those bullets in his wallet.


While coming to India, he had arrived Kozhikode Airport with the bullet in his procession.



He was handed over to Bajpe police who later produced him to the court for further investigation.
