Mangalore, June 14: The Dakshina Kannada Pradesh Congress Committee (DKPCC) will launch a two-month campaign “Congressna Nadige Janara Balige” (march of Congress towards people) from June 15 to create awareness about various development schemes of the Centre.
It will throw light on the failure of the State government in implementing many welfare measures.

Ramanath Rai, District president of Congress, told presspersons on Monday that the party men would be meeting people at the block and booth level and speak about the development schemes such as the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, the National Rural Health Mission, the National Horticultural Mission, and the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan.
Mr. Rai said many did not know about the Central government schemes and therefore had not been able to use them. He said leaders of the block-level and booth-level teams were given an orientation about the Central government schemes on Monday. Mr. Rai said the campaign would focus on the way the Manmohan Singh-led government had been fighting against corruption Mr. Rai said the Congress workers would highlight the failure of the B.S.
