Woman dies after fall from moving bus

Mangalore, June 20: A woman passenger died after she was thrown out of a moving passenger bus at Kalladka in Golthamajalu village along National Highway in Bantwal taluk on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Nagamma alias Ramani (29), wife of Gangadhara Poojary, resident of Narahari Nagar in Bolangadi.

The incident occurred when Vishwanath, the driver of the KSRTC bus applied brake. When the speeding bus suddenly stopped for a while owing to the break, Nagamma was thrown out of the front door of the bus.

A seriously injured Nagamma was immediately rushed to the District Government Wenlock Hospital in the city, where she succumbed to injuries while under treatment.
