Mangalore, June 21: Janata Dal (Secular) organized an organizational meeting to chalk out plans on building its base in the district at Hotel Woodlands here on Tuesday.
Prior to the meeting, Senior JDS leader addressing the media persons said that BS Yeddyurappa should be awarded with the title of the most corrupt Chief Minister in the history of independent India.
When asked about the 'truth test' at Dharmasthala, Mr Patil said it was BS Yeddyurappa who challenged first. If Kumaraswamy will not go for it then people may misunderstand him. In order to keep his words Kumaraswamy should go, he opined.
Yeddyurappa has broken all his promises in the past. He had promised at Siddaganga Mutt that he would not give election ticket to his son. But he did not keep his promise, he reminded.
State president of the Janata Dal (Secular) SC/ST Cell K Annadani said that the State Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa, had completely neglected the interest of Dalits, farmers and other oppressed classes.
He said BJP government, for the past three years had not implemented a single programme for the welfare of these classes.
He said that novel programmes such as Ganga Kalyan scheme, Ambedkar Development Corporation were implemented by former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy.
JD(S) leaders Madhu Bangarappa, Amaranath Shetty, MG Hegde and others were present.
