Deputy Commissioner of Police Mutturraya said that police are of the suspicion that the child might have been murdered to destroy the evidence.
Soon after the incident canine squad and finger-print experts were pressed into service. The dogs sniffed and ascended up to 150 metre of hill near the house.
Suspecting that murder might have dumped the knife or arm used to kill the duo in the area while fleeing the scene, police personnel conducted three- hour-long search in the surroundings. They also emptied the rainy water from a ground level water tank situated near the victim's house at Guddeangady area of Panjimogaru near Kavoor.
