“The main intention of the show down by the Chief Minister and former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy is to divert the people's attention from the corruption issues. Such show downs should not happen again. The CM and former CM have used religion for political intentions and have misled the people. The Chief Minister should resign,” he said. Alleging that the present BJP government has topped charts in corruption, he said that the Chief Minister has distributed the land to his kith and kin and interfered in the Lokayukta's inquiry.
“Though this year's budget focuses on farmers, the CM has not done anything that will benefit them. The farmer's life is going from bad to worse,” pointed out CPI(M) Karnataka State Secretariat Member K R Sriyan.
The protestors shouted slogans against the Chief Minister, demanding his resignation. CPI(M) is organising State-level protests against the corruption in the state government.
